this project translates the organic forms of rainforest foliage into structured textile patterns using geometric grids.
a structural approach to rainforest patterns
this project explores the structural interpretation of rainforest patterns from an industrial design perspective. by analyzing the dense layering of foliage, organic symmetry, and the interplay of light and shadow, i reinterpreted these natural elements into a geometrically structured textile pattern. using a grid-based design approach, i balanced organic fluidity with systematic order, reflecting the adaptability and complexity of tropical ecosystems. this process preserves the richness of natural forms while presenting a structured visual rhythm suitable for contemporary applications. by applying industrial design methodologies to textile pattern development, this project bridges biophilic design principles with functional aesthetics, offering a structured yet expressive reinterpretation of nature’s intricate systems.
